William Dorothy Raburn Stiles

William Dorothy Raburn Stiles was born on April 23, 1946, in Cohutta, Georgia, to William Envil Raburn and Victoria Sadie Cross Raburn; she was raised in Turtletown by her parents, Arthur and Myrtle Mason. She passed away on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022.

A 1966 graduate of Carson-Newman College with a degree in elementary education. She retired after 30 years with the Polk County School System. She began her career teaching one year in the Bradley County School, where she met her husband, Ricky Stiles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Stiles; parents; siblings, Verlin Rayburn, Jessie Rayburn, Willie Rayburn, Bonnie Adams, Doyle Rayburn and Virgil Rayburn; brother-in-law, Donald Ray Stiles of Cleveland; and sister-in-law, Shirley Stiles.

She is survived by her daughter, Richelle Stiles Ledford (Steve); grandchildren, Brandon Ledford (Hannah), Steven Ledford (Kayla) and Alison Ledford (Randall), all of Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Anthony Ledford, Lwan Chartier, Grayson Ledford, Eleanor Ledford and Liam Ledford, all of Cleveland; sister, Margaret Deal of Chatsworth, Georgia; two brothers-in-law, Ronnie Stiles and Stephen Stiles (Kathy) of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Wanda Beck Stiles of Cleveland, JoAnne Raburn of McCaysville, Georgia, and Evelyn Gaddy of Chatsworth, Georgia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022, at Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will be held following the visitation at 4 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Arris Cavender and the Rev. Guy Lindsey officiating.
