William Daris Crowe Jr.

William Daris Crowe Jr., of Cleveland, born on Oct. 12, 1934, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022.

He is survived by his wife, Caroline Crowe of Cleveland; daughter, Kim (Clovis) Haskins of Texas; son, David (Melissa) Crowe of Athens; stepdaughters, Lisa Shelton and Suzanne Booth (Michael); grandchildren, Brittany (Dustin) Cox of Ocoee, Tommy (Kodi) Crowe of Copperhill, Cody (Liz) Haskins ans Josh (Raven) Haskins, both of Texas, and Katie and Ryley Crowe of Athens; stepgrandchildren, Jonathan Shelton, Joshua Shelton, Elizabeth (Hunter) Randolph, Ethan Booth, Jordan Graig and Hannah Hailer; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Whitney Willis, Taylor and Devin Cox, Livie, Mia, Kylie and Jathon Crowe, Kloie and River Haskins, Cayden and Courtney Haskins; stepgreat-grandchildren, Scarlett Shelton and Jackson Randolph; sisters, Ethel Arden of Knoxville and Francis McGinnis of Corryton; brother, Harley Crowe of Blaine; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lilly-Mae Crowe; late wife, Betty Crowe; sisters, Bertha-Mae Cameron, Pearl Mathis, Wilma-Jean Overholt and Betty Simpson; and brothers, Grover Crowe and Willie Crowe.

Pallbearers will be David Crowe, Clovis Haskins, Mark Kirksey, Tommy Crowe, Frank Kirksey and Austin Bivens. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryley Crowe, Cameron Willis and Tommy Brock.

William’s family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home.

A Celebration of His Life will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home following visitation, with the Rev. Heidi Johnson officiating.

William will be laid to rest following the service at Fort Hill Cemetery.
