Tonya Lee Cross

Tonya Lee Cross, 46, of Dayton, passed away Sunday morning, Dec. 13, 2020, in a Chattanooga hospital. 

She was born in Chattanooga. She was the granddaughter of the late Mary Ruth and Tom Anthony Bell and Ruby and Ernest Argene Jump. 

She loved being on social media and drinking Coca Cola. Most of all, she loved being a grandmother and spending time with her family. Tonya was a loving wife, mother and grandmother . She attended the Church of God.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Kenneth "Peanut" Cross of Dayton; her children: Aaron Jump and his wife, Felicia, Ali Whittaker and her husband, Tyler, Jeffery Cross and his wife, Catilin, and Shelby Gillespie and her husband, Dexter, all of Dayton; her 11 grandbabies; her parents, Meda and Gerald Jump, also of Dayton; her sister, Michelle Wright and her husband, Mark, of Decatur; her brother, Tony Jump and his wife, Lisa, of Dayton; and several nieces and nephews.
 
The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at 2 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, Wildwood Chapel, with the Rev. Kenneth Walker officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Cohutta Hill Community Chapel Cemetery, with Matthew Jump, Corey Jump, Tony Jump, Jacob Wright, Roger Smith, Lonnie Cross, Tyler Whittaker and Dexter Gillespie serving as casket bearers. 

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
