Taylor Thomas Morris

Taylor Thomas Morris, 87, a lifelong resident of Bradley County, departed this life on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was a United States Army veteran, serving his country in the Korean War. He was retired from Magic Chef with over 39 years of service. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially when in the company of his family, or when he was listening to the music of baying hunting dogs on the trail of a raccoon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James T. and Edna Morris; his brothers: Riley Morris and Joe Morris; and his sisters: Ira Mae Mull, Louise Morgan and Allie McAlister.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 63 years, Jennie Brock Morris; his sister, Ruth Wilson; his children: Angela (Kirk) Gardner and Randy (Kalin) Morris; his grandchildren: Emily Gardner, Kyle (Candace) Gardner and Taylor Andrew Morris; and one great-grandchild: Ashton Lafferty.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Leroy Elliott officiating.

Interment will follow in New Friendship Cemetery with Andrew Morgan, Jerry Morris, Jeff Brock, Kyle Gardner, Taylor Andrew Morris and Eric Brock serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

We invite you to send a message of condolence and view the Morris family guestbook at www.fikefh.com.
