Shirley Mae Stevenson, 85, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, in a local hospital.
She was the daughter of the late John and Catherine Wallace Cavett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jim Stanley Stevenson.
She was a former CNA at Bradley Nursing Home, with over 36 years of dedicated service. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her son, Mitchell S. Stevenson and his companion of many years, Millie Coleman; along with her family: daughter, Cathey Swafford; grandchildren: Joshua Stevenson and Amanda Carter (D. Scott); great-grandchild, Jaxson Carter; and Shirley’s sister, Evelyn Fowler.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held today, July 21, 2021, at 5 p.m. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, Wildwood Avenue Chapel, with Pastor Mark Cameron officiating.
The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
