Posted

Shawn Joseph Pearce, 44, of Cleveland, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023.

Shawn was a proud graduate of Geneva High School ’97 in Geneva, Alabama. He called many places home, including his birthplace, Baltimore, Maryland, and several cities in Florida. He was a member of Mt. Olive Ministries where he faithfully sang in the choir and served as custodian for six years. Shawn had a zeal for life and enthusiasm for sharing the redemption found in Jesus’ name. He was an avid football fan; he loved his Colts and cheering for Alabama. Shawn was always smiling and sneaking in jokes to make those around him laugh. He never missed an opportunity to tell others how much he loved his wife and children.

He leaves behind his wife, Jessica Pearce; children, Jordyn, Rylie and Cassidy Pearce; parents, Karen McCumber (Thom McCumber) and Bobby Pearce; siblings, David Anderson and Amber Pearce; and countless family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023, at Mt Olive Church of God, 3522 Harrison Pike, Cleveland.

A Celebration of Life service immediately following at 6 p.m. with Pastor James Sears officiating.

Instead of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions for a memorial stone on the Greenway where he loved to run and for any unexpected expenses, https://everloved.com/life-of/shawn-pearce
