SAR hears story of Edmunds' sword

THE PRUSSIAN Grenadier Sabre capture by Corporal John Edmunds (1757-1846)during the Battle of Trenton, American Revolutionary War was shown by his descendant Retired Air Force Col. Col Donald Edmunds during the Col. Benjamin Cleveland Chapter, SAR, meeting in May.

CHAPTER PRESIDENT Jerry Hjellum presented Compatriot Col. Donald Edmunds with a Certificate of Appreciation for his interesting Revolutionary War-related story.

TN STATE SAR President-Elect Fred Underdown and Chapter President Jerry Hjellum presented 2nd Lt. Ella Kidd with a Bronze Good Citizenship Medal and Certificate for her outstanding services to the community as flag sentry. Not shown is AMVETS Post #13 Commander, Daniel Koob, sponsor for 2nd Lt. Kidd.
