Roy (Ed) Nix

Roy (Ed) Nix, 86, of Benton, passed away at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at home.

He attended the Journey Church in Cleveland, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He was preceded in death by wife, Barbara Jean Nix; parents, Roy Glen Nix and Margaret Lorraine Nix; sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara Ann Nix and Bobbie Joe and Creed Powers; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy Lynn Nix and Ruth Nix, Jimmy Glenn Nix and Irene Nix.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Joe Hall, Tammy Harris, Kim Nivens and Ruby Ann Nix; sons, Rodney Nix and Roy (Eddie) Nix Jr.; grandchildren and spouses, Brianna Nix, April and Garrett McKamie, Dustin and Chari Moser, Corey Anthony Moser, Joshua and Morgan Harris; great-grandchildren, Peyton Garland, Kennedy and Ezra McKamie, Copper Harris and Caladon Cato; and brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Paulette Nix.

The funeral  will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home in Tellico Plains with the  Rev. Tony Spencer officiating.

Interment will follow at Center Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
