Phyllis Jean Black, 84, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022.
She was born on Sept. 1, 1938, to the late Louella and John Cross. Phyllis was very gifted with arts and crafts and she enjoyed cooking. She was a devoted woman of God and faithfully attended church.
In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Black; daughters, Kim German, Cindy Thomas and Redonna Thomas; and siblings, John Cross, Terry Cross and Mary McCall.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Shelia Gray (Tina); granddaughters, Morgan Gray, Christy German, Emily German, Shelby Thomas and and Kalona Legler; and great-grandchildren, Thea, Avery and Camden.
Phyllis’ family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, 2022, at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life service will follow the visitation at 7 p.m. on Monday.
She will be laid to rest at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Fort Hill Veterans Cemetery.
