Phyllis A. German, 85, of Birchwood, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, at Bradley Healthcare and Rehab in Cleveland.
She was born on July 16, 1937, in Cleveland, to her father and mother, Ralph and Tilda Snyder, and has been a lifelong resident. Phyllis had a musical heart and loved to play the piano and sing. In her spare time, she also loved to sew. She was of the Christian faith and was a member of the Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Cotton German; her mother, Tilda Snyder; her father, Ralph Synder; her sister-in-law, Kaye Steadman; and her daughter-in-law, Kim German.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Chris (Sandy) German; daughters, Pam (Dennis) Cofer and Amy Lemons (Danny); sister, Rondelle Stevison; best cousin, Geraldine Driggins; sisters-in-law, Wava Patterson and Wilma Pickel; grandchildren, Casey Cofer, Emily German, Kristia Pearson and Jennifer Beth Lemons; great-grandchildren, Averi Pearson, Camden Calhoun and Thea Pearson; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank the staff on Wing 4 at Bradley Healthcare and Rehab Center for their wonderful care.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, at Companion Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Guinn Green officiating.
The interment will be held at McInturff Cemetery in Birchwood.
