Perry Lynn Rogers, 61, passed away on Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at a local hospital.
He was a devoted husband and father and was a member of First Baptist Church. He practiced as a family nurse practitioner at CHI Memorial Convenient Care. He retired from 30 years of service with Bradley County EMS and was also involved in Bradley County Rescue Squad.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Hubert Rogers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Renee Rogers; his mother, Reba Katherine Rogers; two children, Katie Lauren Monroe (Dalton) of Cleveland and Keri Lynn Rogers (Brendon Wilkey) of Charleston; a sister, Karen Partyka (Joe) of Marietta, Georgia; two uncles, Wendell Richardson and Jerry Richardson (Becky); and several cousins.
A Celebration of His Life was conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory with the Rev. Allan Lovelace officiating.
Interment followed in Old Ocoee Cemetery in Benton with Larry Spence, Chris Painter, Jade Lockhart, Stan Clark, Danny Lawson and Mike Wilcoxon serving as pallbearers, and members of Bradley County EMS serving as honorary pallbearers.
The family received friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
