Pearl Howard

Pearl Odom Howard, 95, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was a lifelong member of Big Spring United Methodist Church, and she volunteered at Bradley Memorial Hospital as well as many other charitable organizations. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, traveling, and most of all spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Caney Odom and Bessie Poe Odom; two brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by her loving husband of 75 years, Charles Howard; sons, Steve Howard and wife, Carolyn, and Phil Howard and wife, Lisa, all of Cleveland; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Her Life will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Rogers officiating.

Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery with Paul Howard, Kyle Howard, Brian Howard, Mitchel Laman, Maxton Laman, Chad Kirkpatrick and Chris Wolfe serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Big Spring United Methodist Church, 1196 Hardwick St. SE, Cleveland, TN 37311.

The family would like to thank her caregivers for the loving care given to their Mom.
