Milton Loyal Nicholson

Milton Loyal Nicholson, 83, of Cohutta, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023.

He was born on Nov. 11, 1939, to the late Milas and Daisy Nicholson. Milton loved the outdoors and being outside. He enjoyed spending time in Tellico Plains and anywhere he could get away into the mountains. Milton also loved antique cars and was fascinated with quality architecture and masonry work. He was a very hardworking man and loved spending time with his family. Milton was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by two brothers; four sisters; and infant son, Daniel Nicholson.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, three children, Sherry (Luke) Wilson, Karen Fitzke and Tim (Sara) Nicholson; five grandchildren, Stephanie Wilson, Ilona Fitzke, Saul Fitzke, Pare Nicholson and Andrew Nicholson; and one great-grandchild, Ava Fitzke.

Milton’s family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Companion Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2 p.m.

He will be laid to rest following his service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Cohutta.
