Marcia Claudette Cochran

Marcia Claudette Cochran, 80, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

She was born on Aug. 22, 1941, to the late Rev. Claude Charles Russell and Pauline Black Russell. Claudette was a lifelong resident of this area. She loved dancing and listening to bluegrass music as well as traveling and seeing new places.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tammy Hadorn (Kenneth) and Tracy Arp (Michael); grandchildren, Brandon Hadorn and Billy McClanahan; great-granddaughter, Winter McClanahan; special cousin, Sharon Jones of Athens; and special friend, Mitch Dickson.

Claudette’s family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022, at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home with a funeral to follow at 1 p.m. They will also receive friends from noon until 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Athens Chapel of Companion Funeral Home with burial to follow at Niota Cemetery.
