Kay Ellen Officer, 82, a member of First Baptist Church, and a lifetime resident of Cleveland is now walking hand-in-hand with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as of Sunday, June 19, 2022.
Kay passed on to her eternal reward, peacefully at her home, while surrounded by her loving family; including her husband of 65 years, Carl “Neal” Officer; and their two sons, Kent Officer and Brian Officer, both of Cleveland. Kay’s legacy will also be carried on by her daughter-in-law, Crystal Wooten Officer; and grandchildren, Evan and Emily Officer, all of Cleveland. Many others, too numerous to mention, were touched by her, from her “daughters she never had,” to her incredible lifelong friends, to the many children and young adult lives she touched while at Blythe Elementary and Cleveland Junior High School and may have only known her as “Ms. Kay.”
She loved us all in her own unique way, specifically tailored to each one’s needs.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a time to be determined, and ask that in lieu of flowers, a donation can be sent to First Baptist Church of Cleveland.
She is loved and will be missed.
We invite you to send a message of condolence and view the Officer family guestbook at www.ralphbuckner.com.
Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
