Katherine Lee Dailey

Katherine Lee Dailey, 89, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at the family residence.

She was born in Cleveland and she was the daughter of the late Lessie Lively Brock and Ed Brock. Her seven sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and worked for a while in the cafeteria at Tomlinson College. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and she was an avid soap opera fan. Most of all, she was known for her servant’s heart and helping people. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and she attended the Beacon Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years, John Dailey Sr., of Cleveland; son, John Dailey Jr., of Benton; daughters, Debbie Lanclos and Susan Owens (Mike), all of Cleveland, and Lisa Gregory (James) McDonald; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Bobbie Mullins of Cleveland, and Naomi Stevenson of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life service will be conducted on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, North Ocoee Chapel, with the Rev. David Evans officiating.

Interment will follow in the Veterans Section of Fort Hill Cemetery with John Dailey Jr., Dylan Dailey, Dylan Burgess, Ricky Hall, Zeshan Goodine and Jaiden Goodine serving as casket bearers.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
