Jack Duane Smith

Jack Duane Smith, 91, of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.

He was a member of Bowman Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church. Jack loved boating and Civil War history. He was a master carpenter and builder, but found his true passion giving away wooden rocking horses he built for children and seeing their happy faces!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey George and Rachel Smith.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Debra Smith; daughters, Connie Dendy (Jay) and Tonya Suits (Perry); grandchildren: Baylie, Carter and Cayden Suits; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023, at Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church with dear friend, David Lassiter, and Pastor Jared Spano officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Bowman Hills Elementary School, 300 Westview Drive NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
