Howard Montgomery Callaway


Howard Montgomery Callaway, 46, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, at a local hospital. Howard was born Oct. 2, 1974, to the late Hugh W. Callaway and Patricia Hester Callaway.

A lifelong resident of Cleveland, he attended Cleveland High School, Webb School and Cleveland State Community College.

Howard owned a successful lawn care service for years. He also worked with Conley Electric and American Heating and Air. Howard was enthusiastic about his recent business venture — “1-CALL-AWAY” Heating and Air.

Howard loved his Lord. He formed Bible studies and prayer groups, where he shared this love. Everyone that knew him could see his kind heart.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Darlene Garrett Callaway; his mother, Patty; brother, Bryan M. Callaway (Heather Anne) of Neptune Beach, Fla.; sons: Montgomery Callaway of Panama City Beach, Fla. and Jakob Phillips of Dalton, Ga.; and daughter, Lexus Phillips Scruggs (Chris) of Chatsworth, Ga.

A private memorial service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021, for the families.
