Grace Margaret Tucker ‘Granny Grace’


June 1, 1922 - May 19, 2021

Grace Margaret Tucker, 98, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021, in the comfort of her home on her favorite couch. 

She was born in Cleveland to the late Emma Bell Tucker.

She was preceded in death by her late mother; her son, Truman Jackson Tucker; sister, Jessie Tucker Davis; brother, Frank Daniel Tucker;  and her niece, Willa Dean Dunn.
She was affectionately known as "Granny Grace"  and blessed to have five generations (Moma Moma, Granny Grace Granny Grace) she was a member of the Church of God Sanctified and was the oldest mother in the church. She graduated from College Hill High School and was employed by Bradley Memorial Hospital for many years in the nursery. 
Survivors include her three daughters: Charlotte Timberlake, Wilhelmena Scott, and Marie Tucker; grandchildren: Diane Gaines, Catrina Scott, Keyatta Cobb, Cindy (Torrey) Hughes, Reggie Tucker. Larry "Buddy" Tucker, Curtis Timberlake, Allisha Scott, Marisha Hickey, Patience Brown; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; her niece, Joan Davis; nephews: Greg (Cathy) Davis of Oklahoma, and Wadie Davis Jr, Paul Davis, Frederick (Betty) Pitner, all of Cleveland Tennessee; her goddaughter, Paulette Pugh; her great-godchildren: Sonata Leak and Russell Ware; special niece, Deanda Ware; many other relatives, friends, and church family. 
A walk-through visitation will be Monday, from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Church of God Sanctified, 746 1st Street N.E.,  Bishop Guilford Hill, pastor. 
The funeral will be Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 799 Inman Street East, Cleveland, with the Rev. Edward S. Robinson, pastor.  Bishop Guilford G. Hill will be the eulogist. 
Interment to follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.
