Geneva Moore Broomfield, 93, of Cleveland passed away on Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, at her home.
She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was also a teacher at Travena Elementary School.
In addition to her parents, Garland and Mae Buchanan Moore, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Walter; sister, Vestal Boring; and a very special friend, Betty Jo Hutson.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Martin; daughter, Ann Broomfield; and son, Kent Broomfield, all of Cleveland.
The funeral will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, at Lebanon Baptist Church, with Pastor Adam Harden and Pastor Emeritus Danny Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday at the church, prior to the service.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga – Cleveland Office and Family and Faith Home Care of Athens for making it possible for her to remain in her home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Family Life Center building project at Lebanon Baptist Church.
