Ernest Craig

Ernest Craig, 73, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, Jan. 30, 2023.

He was born on Oct. 8, 1949, to the late William and Amanda Craig.

Ernest loved being outdoors, camping, etc. He was always known for giving everyone a hard time. He was a Christian, and attended the Baptist church.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Willie Craig, Sue Brewer, Martha Swaggerty and Thelma Hunt; and brothers, Johnnie Craig and Freddie Craig.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 51 years, Rose Craig; children, Ernie Craig (Lisa) of Cleveland, Robert Craig (Vicki) and Jonathan Craig (Kayla) of Benton; brothers, Windom Craig of Benton and Dewey Craig of Cleveland; grandchildren, Chris Bohannan (Nikki), Eva Snyder (Austin), Carson Craig, Micheala Craig, Hailey Craig (Noah Hobbs) and Ally Craig; great-grandchildren, Karter, Ava and Baylee Bohannon; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

Ernest’s family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, at Companion Funeral Home and on Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon.

A service will be held at noon on Friday at the funeral home.

Burial to follow at Cookson Creek Cemetery. Chris Bohannon, Carson Craig, Austin Snyder, Eric White, Darren Goode and Johnny Hunt will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Chris Hedding.
