Edna Ione (Peanut) Salter Hallmark, of McDonald, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her parents, R.V. and Elberta Salter of Tampa, Fla.; brother, Walter (Bud) and (Nelia) Salter of McDonald; and sons: Greg Hallmark of Virginia and Dale Hallmark of Florida.
Left behind to cherish her memory, are her brother, T.J. (Babe) and (Norma) Salter of Tampa, Fla.; cousin, Annette (Teeny) Jones of Tampa, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Brenda Hallmark Franklin of Rocky Mount, Va.; granddaughters: Sherri Cockerham and family of North Carolina and Jennifer Ciccarello and family of Virginia; as well as family and friends.
Peanut was born on Aug. 5, 1927, in Tampa, Fla., where she lived for 91 years up until April 2019, when she moved to McDonald with her niece and her husband (Jeannie and Tim Turner.) She was a great mother, sister, aunt and grandmother and she will be missed, but we will see her again one day.
