Dorothy Mae Withrow Dixon, 94, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023, at a local healthcare facility.

Dorothy was a lifetime member of Berean Baptist Church. She was a loving wife and the greatest mother anyone could ever have. She was also an adoring grandmother. She worked as a CNA at Royal Care Nursing, and she loved flowers and enjoyed gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Roy Dixon; her parents, Lester and Beulah Combs Withrow; her son, Phillip Dixon; her brothers, Orville, Pat, Charlie, Bill, Bob, Henry and Cliff Withrow; and a sister, Joyce Murphy.

She is survived by two children, Randy Dixon (Jill) of Cleveland, and Gary Dixon (Delores) of Benton; four grandchildren, Richard Dixon (Shandy) of Knoxville, Candice Higdon (Jeremy) of Cleveland, Lynn Dixon (Tammy) of Ooltewah, and Chasity Jenkins (Bobby) of Ocoee; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Ridgeway and Frances Campbell; five brothers, Cecil, Dave, Carl, Jim and Doyle Withrow; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Her Life will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 16, 2023, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Wagner officiating.

Interment will follow at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with Jeff Wilson, Chris Wilson, Bryan Dixon, Steven Withrow, Jeff Withrow and Adam Withrow serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday prior to the service.
