Cleveland woman dies in Peerless accident

A Cleveland woman died in a single-vehicle accident on Peerless Road Thursday morning after she lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway and struck a tree.
 
The accident took place at 8:25 a.m.
 
According to Cleveland Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Evie West, the driver, Pamela Wheeler, 73, was traveling south on Peerless Road when her 2006 Jeep Liberty left the road near the 2900 block of Peerless Road.
 
West said Wheeler was pronounced dead at the scene by medical officials. 
 
CPD is continuing the investigation to determine what might have contributed to the accident.
