Billy Wayne Lisk

Billy Wayne Lisk, 90, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at the family residence.

He was born in Stanly County, North Carolina, and he was the son of the late Susie Russell Lisk and Curtis Lisk. His sister, Helen Byrd, husband, Ervin Byrd, and their daughter, Lydia, also preceded him in death.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and was one of the founders of United Knitting in Cleveland. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Cleveland Country Club. Most of all, he was a devoted family man. He was a member of the Wesley Memorial Church.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Peggy Lisk of Cleveland; daughter, Pamela L. Hopper (David) of Stokesdale, North Carolina; son, Dale Wayne Lisk of North Carolina; grandchildren, Brittany, Brad, Curtis and Chelsee; niece, Kim Bahr (Kenny) of Durham, North Carolina; and several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The Remembrance of Life service was conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Wesley Memorial Church with the Rev. Ramon Torres officiating.

The family received friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the church.

The Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, North Ocoee Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
