Barbara Jean Kerr

Barbara Jean Kerr, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at a nursing facility in Hendersonville.

She was born in Benton on Dec. 10, 1934, and lived most of her adult life in Cleveland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the late John Cleveland and Martha (Pangle) Godfrey; her husband of 39 years, James (Bosco) Kerr; and her siblings, Pearl Evans, Etholeen Rymer, Bonita Loftis, Bernice Evans, Hoyt Godfrey and Luther Godfrey.

She was an avid UT Vols fan and loved spending time with her family.

She leaves behind cherished memories of her children, Todd (Randa) Kerr and Barrie (Michael) Stodgell; five grandchildren, Megan (Gordon) Greene, Daniel Stodgell, Emily (Tyler) Ricker, Olivia (Ben) Lacroix and TJ Kerr; and five great-grandchildren, Rhett Greene, Lawson Greene, Elizabeth Greene, Stokes Kerr and Hazelee Kerr.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
