He was born on December 20, 1950 in Cleveland to the late Bill and Ida Mae Clayton. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Community Hall Church. Barbara Jean Ellis age 69 a lifelong resident of Cleveland went home to her Lord and Savior Sunday February 9, 2020. She was the daughter of the late James and Katherine Scoggins Clingan. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 22 years Rev. Albert Ellis, pastor of Benton Pike House of Prayer where she was known as the “Mother” of the church. She was also preceded in death by her step-daughters Ava Ellis, who was the light of her life and Eva Woody, her infant brother Jimmy Ray Clingan, her grandparents and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. more
