She was a member of Hampton Drive Baptist Church.
She retired from Magic Chef and was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 81.
She was preceded in death by two husbands: William “Bud” German, and Carl L. Ensley; parents, Sid and Janie Ensley; brothers: O.W. “Shorty” Ensley, Wint Ensley, and Edward Ensley; and sisters: Beulah Waters, Bonnie Robertson and Hazel Ensley.
Survivors include one son, Jerry German of McDonald; daughter, Janice Watson and husband, Boyce, of Cleveland; grandchildren: Becky German Corbitt and husband, Larry, of Savannah, Ga., and Dr. Jamie Watson and wife, Darlena, of Young Harris, Ga.; great-grandchildren: Lacy Holmes and Trey Holmes, both of Savannah, Ga.; brothers: Jack Ensley of Cleveland, Bert Ensley of Hixson, and Billy Ensley of Elyria, Ohio; sister, Judy Epperson of Chattanooga; and her special friends and caregivers from Bradley Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2010, at Grissom Funeral Home with the Revs. Kevin Wilson, Earl Farris, and James Watson officiating.
Pat Ensley, Randy Wooten, Bill McKinney, Paul McConnell, Jackie Robertson, and Brian Ensley will serve as pallbearers. Kevin Wilson, Robin Hamid and Paula Noble will be the singers and musician.
Entombment will follow at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
