Bradley County’s outstanding women golfers will tee it up in the 52nd annual Women’s City Golf Championship Thursday, playing the first 18 holes at Cleveland Country Club.

The second 18 holes will be played Friday at Chatata Valley Golf Course. Tee times for both rounds will begin at 8 a.m.

Longtime local standout Maggie Scott will be going after her 30th championship, winning her first title in 1973. To reach this plateau, Scott will have to defeat CCC friends and Thursday playing partners Linda Mullins and Lisa Daubner.

Mullins is going for her third straight championship. She defeated Scott in an extra-hole playoff two years ago, then repeated last year when Scott missed her first tournament in 40 years with a foot injury.

Thursday’s pairings:

8 a.m. — Maggie Scott, Linda Mullins and Lisa Daubner. 8:08 a.m. — Rita Hannah, Delores Haynie and Chelsea Rakestraw. 8:16 — Jaton Wood, Debbie Patterson and Donna Anderson. 8:24 — Cheri Wood, Melanie Strassburg and Pam Morrow. 8:30 a.m. — Beth Harper, Judy Ozawa and Carrie Davis. 8:38 — Wanda Evans, Mary Lou Miller and Carol Williams.

Junior Girls: 8:46 — Courtney Young, Katie Bishop, Lydia Triplett and Sloane Rakestraw.
