She was a longtime resident of Flint, Mich., and lived in Cleveland since 1997.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. James and Ruth Dalton.
She loved playing the piano at church, spending time with her family and playing games. She had a wonderful sense of humor and made everyone laugh. All who knew her felt loved and appreciated.
She is survived by her husband, Alex “Roy” Booth of Cleveland; her three children: James Booth and wife, Teresa, of Flint, Martin Booth and wife, Donna, of Abilene, Texas, and Cheryl Evans and her husband, Mark, of Cleveland; her sisters: Carolyn Abear of Charleston, Linda Cordell of Cleveland and Cheryl Apsey of Sunfield, Mich.; nine grandchildren: Stephanie Miller, Stacey Steiner, Andrea Thetford, Kelsey Rule, Caleb Evans, Alisha Austill, Rachel Booth, Corey Evans and Casey Evans; and six great-grandchildren: Ryan, Grant, Brooklyn, Grayson, Noah and Joel.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at 4 p.m. from the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Mitch Maloney and Chaplain Major Martin Booth officiating.
Interment will follow in the Tasso United Methodist Church with Mark Evans, Caleb Evans, Corey Evans, Casey Evans, Truman Booth, Alan Booth and Gary Apsey serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 Tuesday at the funeral home.
