Chattanooga — Seven local Dairy Queen® and DQ Grill & Chill® restaurants will celebrate the 9th Annual DQ® Miracle Treat Day on Aug. 14.

Donations raised through current Miracle Balloon sales and Blizzard® Treat Day will support T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.

One dollar or more from every Blizzard® Treat sold at participating restaurants in Chattanooga; Hixson; Cleveland; Jasper.; Blue Ridge, Ga.; and Dalton, Ga. on Aug. 14 will be donated to Children’s Hospital at Erlanger, one of the 170 hospitals supported by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® (CMN Hospitals).

Customers can also donate to the hospital by purchasing a Miracle Balloon at the register, now through Aug. 14.

Like all CMN Hospitals campaigns, donations raised will stay in the community to help local kids. CMN Hospitals raises funds to help save and improve the lives of kids treated at member hospitals across the U.S. and Canada.

“Everyone at Children’s Hospital is looking forward to Miracle Treat Day,” said Rebecca Brinkley, Children’s Hospital Foundation and CMN Hospitals coordinator.

“It is the best way to cool off in the summer heat while also supporting the region’s only children’s hospital. We are thrilled to have the partnership with so many local Dairy Queen® restaurants. Their customers’ donations will go directly to Children’s Hospital to support the medical and family-centered environment that is needed to care for sick and injured children in our community.”

The featured Miracle Treat Day “Blizzard Treat of the Day” will be Oreo® which is still the most popular Blizzard Treat to date. The Blizzard of the Month for August in the U.S. is Chips Ahoy!®, recognizing the popular cookie’s 100th anniversary. This Blizzard Treat is made with Chips Ahoy! cookie pieces, chocolaty topping, and creamy vanilla soft serve.

All other Blizzard flavors also are available on Aug. 14.
