Howard Franklin Fox Sr., 80, a lifelong resident of Cleveland went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, July 25, 2014, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Polk County on Aug. 9, 1933, a son of the late Jack and Ruby Fox.
He was an honorable discharge veteran of the United States Navy after faithfully serving his country.
He was of the Baptist faith. He worked for more than 37 years for Magic Chef. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was also an avid golfer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tressa Rose White; one sister, Margie Fox Perkins; and two brothers: Willis Fox and Hoyt Fox.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Dorothy Jean Boring Fox; children: Tammy Fox Bolles, Howard Franklin Fox Jr. and wife, Ramonda, Kimberly Jean Fox Cross and Thomas Wayne Fox and wife, Wendie; grandchildren: Jason Cross, Brittany Ellis, Lacey Bolles, Logan Fox and Kirsten Fox Armstrong, Heather Jones, Chase Bleiler and Eli Fox; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters: Linda Stepp (Mackie) and Joyce Fox Shannon; two brothers: the Rev. Paul Fox (Joyce) and Ronnie Fox (Claudette); and numerous others extended family members and a host of special friends.
A celebration of his life is planned Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 3070 Harrison Pike, with Johnny Underwood officiating.
Interment will follow in the Chilcutt Cemetery with the family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends today from 4 until 8 p.m. at the church, and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
