Motorcyle hits I-75 exit ramp barrier, couple hurt

Cleveland Police officer Carlton Walls is investigating a motorcycle crash which occurred early Saturday at the Interstate 75 exit 20 off-ramp.

According to Evie West, information officer for Cleveland Police Department, the husband and wife riders struck a concrete barrier at the ramp.

Dale Dockery and his wife Karen, of Knoxville, were headed southbound on the interstate when they struck the barrier.

The incident was reported just before 6 a.m.

West noted that both were conscious at the scene, but were taken to Erlanger Medical Center for treatment.

Their injuries were believed to be nonlife-threatening.

Bradley County Emergency Medical Service, Cleveland Fire Department also responded to the scene to aid the victims.

- A Tempstar HVAC unit valued at $3,800 was reportedly stolen from a Minnis Road location.

According to a report filed by Deputy David Harper of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, Drew Mason said the unit was taken Tuesday.

Evidence was collected at the scene, according to Harper.

Detective Rob Wilson responded to the scene to aid in the investigation.
