Elsie Mae Smith, 93, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday evening, July 14, 2014, in a local health care facility.
She was the daughter of the late, Mary Liza Webb Wilburn and William Isaac Wilburn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy T. Smith; sisters: Willie Eckstein, Eula Smith and Pearl West; brothers: Clarence Wilburn and Elmer Wilburn.
She worked in the retail business for 40 years, She was a member of the Clingan Ridge Baptist Church where she enjoyed traveling with the XYZ’s group and enjoyed quilting with the quilters club.
She is survived by her sister, Mamie Wisser of Springfield, Ill.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews and great-great-great-nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will held at 1 p.m. Friday, July, 18, 2014, from the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Ricky Vaughn officiating.
Interment will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery in St. Elmo with nephews serving as casketbearers.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 a.m. until the service time at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
