Senior athletes compete in Franklin

Several local athletes traveled to Franklin recently and brought home medals in Tennessee Senior Olympics competitions.

Larry Newport and Darrell Bottoms won the bronze medal in doubles tennis while Newport and Terri Roundtree earned the bronze in mixed doubles.

Wendy Rudolph took the gold in free-throw shooting, hot shot and 3-point shooting. Marcella Womac won silver in the hot shot and 3-point contest.

Deb Hart won gold in free throw and hot shot events and silver in 3-point shooting. Sharon Gallaher took home the gold in the 3-point shooting, silver in free throws and bronze in hot shot.

Dianne Fetzer won the gold medal in the hot shot competition and 3-point shooting and took silver in free throws.

Phyllis Finnell won gold in free throws and silver in 3-point shooting and hot shot along with a silver medal in ping pong singles.
