Carolyn Freeman was recently named vice president of Life Care Centers of America’s Cumberland Region, which encompasses nine skilled nursing facilities in the company’s Eastern Division.

“Having started her health care career as a registered nurse, her focus on resident care and continuous performance improvement are an exact fit for what we were seeking for our Cumberland RVP,” said Latessa Morris, vice president of Life Care Centers of America’s Eastern Division, which oversees the Cumberland Region and four others.

“The Cumberland Region team will benefit greatly from having access to her knowledge and caring personality.”

“The buildings are lovely, and the staff are warm and friendly,” said Freeman. “I like that in long-term care we can make a difference in everybody’s life, not only our residents’ but also our associates’.”

Freeman most recently worked for LaVie Care Centers as regional vice president of its facilities in North Carolina. She worked for that company for 17 years. She has 30 years of experience in long-term care.

Originally from southern Michigan, Freeman has a bachelor’s degree in science. She currently resides in Ooltewah and has one grown daughter in North Carolina.

Life Care Centers of America’s Cumberland Region is based out of the company’s headquarters on Keith Street in Cleveland.

Founded in 1976, Life Care is a nationwide health care company. With headquarters in Cleveland, Life Care operates or manages more than 220 nursing, post-acute and Alzheimer’s centers in 28 states.
