The Rev. Charles Ernest Condee Jr., 81, of Walland, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 10, 2014.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and a faithful servant of the Lord for more than 50 years.

He pastored at Jolly Baptist Church in Jolly, Texas, Trotwood Baptist Church, in Trotwood, Ohio, Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Cleveland, Oak Street Baptist Church in Maryville, Victory Boulevard Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Va., Stuart Park Baptist Church in Cleveland, Goodsprings Baptist Church in Etowah, First Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Inskip Baptist Church in Knoxville and Prospect Baptist Church in Walland. He was an interim pastor at Niles Ferry Baptist Church in Maryville, Rockford Baptist Church in Rockford, Bethel Baptist Church in Sevierville, and Six Mile Baptist Church in Maryville. He was a supply pastor at Piney Level Baptist Church in Maryville, Antioch Baptist Church in Sevierville, and Oakview Baptist Church in Walland. He also did campground ministry at the Mountaineer Campground in Townsend.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Ernest Condee Sr.; mother, Mary Louise Condee; sister, Joyce Hewitt; and son, Dale Allen Condee.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 55 years, Wilma Sherwood Condee; daughter, Lisa Condee of Cleveland; son, Kevin Condee and wife, Raechel, of Friendsville; grandchildren: Josh Condee, Christina Farris, Sara Beth Condee, Danielle Witt, Brylee Condee, and Ella Condee; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sisters: Sarah Ferrari and spouse, Johnny, and Jackie Hundly, all of Virginia, and Betty Cox and spouse, Richard, of North Carolina; brother, Joe Condee of Arizona.

The family will receive friends at 3 to 6 p.m. today, June 12, 2014, at Oakview Baptist Church.

The funeral will be held at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Jimmy Webb and Dr. Kenneth Ellison officiating.

Interment will follow in Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of services.
