An event at The Home Depot of Cleveland to raise awareness and support of the nonprofit organization Impact Cleveland, a United Way of Bradley County program, has been rescheduled.
The event will be held at the store on Paul Huff Parkway from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Saturday, June 14. It had previously been scheduled for this Saturday.
Former Denver Nuggets player Vincent Yarbrough, a native of Cleveland, will be at the June 14 event.
Impact Cleveland is a new, collaborative, neighborhood revitalization initiative focusing on five priority areas: physical revitalization (including basic home repair), social revitalization/civic engagement, neighborhood safety, workforce development, and community empowerment/leadership.
Impact Cleveland utilizes many volunteers in projects, including a recent assessment of the needs for that community. Its office is located in the Blythe Family Support Center with several other organizations that serve our area, including The Refuge, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland, Neighbors in Need, and Head Start.
