Rosa Odella Prigmore was born and lived her early life in Hollywood, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Julia and Frank Cobb; and son, Willy “Sonny” Cornelius Prigmore; one grandchild, Cherina Calhoun; one great-grandchild, Khameron Poindexter.

She moved to Cleveland at the age of nine along with her grandmother.

She married Robert Prigmore at the age of 20 and to this union was born one daughter and two sons.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was employed as a domestic worker for more than 30 years. She enjoyed shopping and taking the bus to the Senior Activity Center. She was a member of the Cleveland Garden Club. With her sweet smile and her soft spoken voice, she was always willing to engage in conversation. She spent her last day with her family in El Paso, Texas.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Judy, and her husband, Adolph Pugh, who has been a devoted, loving, caring and dedicate son-in-law, both of Texas; son, Otis Prigmore of Cleveland; grandchildren: Quincy Prigmore, Kimberly Prigmore and Cory Prigmore, all of Cleveland, Carolyn Calhoun, Adolph Pugh Jr., Alyson Poindexter and Lesley Pugh, all of Texas, Donald Henderson of Missouri, Antoinette Brandon of Boston; great-grandchildren: Keri Prigmore, Shayla Prigmore, Quincy Prigmore Jr., Quinton Childs, Dalaz Jones (DJ), Keagan Jones, Jahmal Johnson, Colby Prigmore and Corbin Prigmore, all of Cleveland, Chace Pugh, Peggy Pugh, Brandon Pugh, David Pugh, Evan Alfred, Demetrius Knighton, Symone Carter, Joycelyn Poindexter, Janay Poindexter, Tamara Bessellieu, Jon Bessellieu Sr., Tameka Calhoun, Cherina Calhoun, Jaeden Pugh, Jon Bessellieu Jr., all of El Paso, Texas, Avione Henderson, Landon Henderson, Brionne Henderson, all of Kansas City, Mo., Troy Brandon and Jonathan Brandon, both of Boston; and other relatives and friends who will miss her.

The body may be viewed Friday, June 6, 2014, from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m at the Patton Funeral Home, 265 Fair Street S.E.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. service time at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 799 Inman Street E., Cleveland. The Rev. Edward S. Robinson will deliver Words of Encouragement.

Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery. The service will conclude with a Dove Release.
