The Bradley County Regional Planning Commission dispatched its business quickly in a five-minute meeting Tuesday night.

First on the agenda was the approval of a revised preliminary plat for the Farmingdale Trails subdivision.

The moving of Trails Crossing Road slightly to the left to offset stormwater issues caused a crowd of approximately 50 residents of the neighboring Farmingdale Homeowner’s Association to express their displeasure and concerns with the move at last month’s meeting.

A motion to table the plat tied, as did a motion to approve the plat at that meeting.

Bently Thomas, planning director, said the plats met all specifications and requirements and under those circumstances it was not possible to recommend anything other than approval.

Thomas sent a two-page memorandum to the association further detailing the situation.

There was no one from the group to speak at the Tuesday meeting and the commission unanimously passed approval for the plat.

The commission also approved preliminary and final plats for the Misty Valley development.
