Rosalie J. Colfer, 82, of Benton, succumbing to a prolonged illness, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at a hospice facility in Chattanooga.
She was attended by her dedicated daughter, Sally A. Dostie of Benton.
She was born in Hallowell, Maine, on July 28, 1931, the daughter of the late Maynard and Esther Clement.
She attended Hallowell High School and had lived in Augusta, Maine, prior to relocating to Benton in 2003.
She had been employed by the State of Maine Dept. of Transportation for many years until her retirement in 1990.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Colfer; and daughter, Kathleen (Colfer) Adams.
She is survived by her daughter, Sally A. Dostie; four granddaughters: Amy Ike of Sydney, Ohio, Michelle Fink of Delaware, Ohio, Rebecca Dostie of Columbus, Ohio, and Emily Wyland of Commerce City, Colo.; and seven great-grandchildren.
Those who desire may make donations in her name to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements are under the care of Serenity Funeral and Cremation Services, LLC of Cleveland.
