Capt. Clark Tucker, author of the article, is an active duty Army officer stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas. Tucker is the public affairs officer for the 1st Armored Division Artillery and 212th Fires Brigade.

Tucker is from Bradley County.

Tucker went to Walker Valley High School and received his bachelors in criminology from ETSU and master's from ETSU in sociology.

“I commissioned out of Army ROTC from ETSU as well. I have been on active duty for five years as of June 5. I am a combat veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom 2011-2012 and served as a quick reactionary force platoon leader in Khost province Afghanistan with the 1st Battalion, 16th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team with the 1st Infantry Division.

“It’s been an honor to serve and as a public affairs officer, I get to tell the Army's story and highlight the great things that our soldiers do on a daily basis,” Tucker said.
