CHATTANOOGA — Matthew Mulcahy graduated summa cum laude with an associate of applied science in chemical engineering technology from Chattanooga State Community College on May 10.
He also earned technical certificates in advanced process technology, chemical laboratory technology and process technology, and also received the Engineering Excellence Award.
Skills achieved include Emerson Delta V, Chemical Analytics, CAD, and Visual Basic. While a student at the Wacker Institute of Chattanooga State, he was a pilot plant operator and an engineering technology tutor in CAD, Microsoft Office, Visual Basic, Process Operations 1 and 2, and introduction to chemistry.
Matthew also holds an associate of applied science in multimedia and a bachelor of science degree in digital entertainment and game design from ITT Technical Institute.
Lincoln Memorial University
HARROGATE — Morgan Patricia Stone of Cleveland received her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate on May 10.
Stone received her undergraduate degree from Clemson University. She is the daughter of Olan St. John and Dr. Angela Free. Her husband, Joshua Stone, also received his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree on May 10.
The DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine is located on the campus of Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate. LMU-DCOM is part of LMU's values-based learning community, and is dedicated to preparing the next generation of osteopathic physicians to provide health care in the often underserved region of Appalachia and beyond.

Oregon State University
CORVALLIS, Ore. — Joshua L. Fisher of Cleveland is set to graduate from Oregon State University this summer.
He will receive a bachelor of science degree in natural resources when the university holds its 145th commencement on Saturday, June 14, beginning at 10:30 a.m. in Reser Stadium.
The commencement speaker is Ann A. Kiessling, director of the independent Bedford Stem Cell Research Foundation and a leader in both stem cell research and reproductive biology. She also will receive an honorary doctorate from the university.
Southern Adventist University
COLLEGEDALE — On May 4, Heather Woods graduated from Southern Adventist University, in Collegedale, receiving a master’s of nursing degree with the concentrations of family nurse practitioner and acute care gerontological nurse practitioner.
Woods had also been inducted into Southern’s honor society.
She is a resident of Cleveland and is the daughter of Janet Talley of Cleveland and Richard Talley of Winston, Ga.
Home to more than 3,300 students, Southern Adventist University is a graduate and undergraduate coeducational accredited university near Chattanooga.
Woods was part of a graduating class of 440 students.
