Dorothy “Pauline” Pell Dyer, 75 a lifelong resident of Cleveland, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, May 25, 2014, just two days before her 76th birthday.

She was a daughter of the late Hershal Paul and Mary Lou Triplett Pell.

She was of the Baptist faith. She loved her family dearly and spent her life being a loving and devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Willford Leon Dyer whom she lost 46 years ago during the Vietnam War; one grandson, William Leon Bryant; two sisters: Janice Sue Pell and Shirley Jane Pell; and two brothers: Gene Pell and Steve Pell.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory four children and their spouses: Beverly and Verlin Gourley, Cindy and J. W. Nunley, Sharon and Greg Cashion and Roy and Cindy Ballew; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Jackie Dowdy; one sister-in-law Ruth Pell; several other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Amazing Grace Baptist church, 4778 Spring Place Road, with the Rev. Marvin Carr officiating

Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The service will conclude with a white dove release.

The family will receive friends tonight at the church from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
