Cleveland Civitan has had a very busy May including partnering with the Walker Valley High School Junior Civitan Club on May 3 by providing lunch to the junior members who chose to clean up Tinsley Park as their volunteer project. Teacher sponsors were Kenitha Wattenbarger and Wendy Hammer.

Outgoing Jr. Civitan president and graduating Senior, Cody Langford, presented a $200 check to the Walker Valley High club as his personal gift to next year's members.

The annual Joe Rodgers Memorial Golf Tournament was held at Chatata Valley Golf Course on May 17 and the winning team was sponsored by the McCoin Law Office. Lots of fun was had by all in spite of the dreary weather. Unfortunately, no golfer hit the hole-in-one to win the Silverado Truck offered by Don Ledford Automotive.
