The gathering will be held June 6-7 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The SCWC is one of the largest writing workshops in the nation.
Designed for both beginning and experienced writers, it will include instruction on writing and publishing books, magazine articles, novels and other topics. Sessions are geared to writers interested in both religious and secular publishing.

Along with Hickman and Aycock, 16 other speakers will be on the program. They include a book publisher, magazine editors and writers, literary agents, a filmmaker and others.
Hickman has written 28 books for publishers such as Random House, Bethany House and Tyndale House. Many of her novels are set in small Southern towns. She has won two Gold Medallions Reader’s Choice Awards from Romantic Times and two Silver Angel Awards for Excellence in Media.
Aycock has written nonfiction books on writing techniques and spiritual issues for major publishers such as Kregel, Zondervan, Multnomah and Broadman & Holman.
