Alma Jeanette Walters, 75, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014, in a local hospital.
She was the daughter of the late John and Susan Brogdon. She was also preceded in death by four sisters: Louvella Goodwin, Betty Walker, Edna Parton and Francis Baker; and two brothers, Luke Brogdon and Mark Brogdon.
She was a retired cook working at several different restaurants in the area, including the Blue Circle and Central Drug Store. She was a member of Bancroft Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Walters; her son, Larry Cunningham and his wife, Cathy; brother, James Edward Branam of Cleveland; sisters: Mary Ann Burton of Old Fort, Lurrie Edwards of Cleveland and Shirley Branam of Old Fort; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes.
Interment will follow in the Bancroft Church of God Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 until 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
