Gregory “Greg” McLain, 49, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, in a local hospital.

He was a member of New Hope Church of the Nazarene. He graduated from Bradley Central High School class of 1982 where he was a member of the high school band. He enjoyed marching band music, was an animal lover and enjoyed his ministry to the youth and children at his local church. He was employed with Pathway Press with 32 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maudelle Young McLain.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Melissa McLain and father, Bobby McLain, both of Cleveland; two children: Christina Keith of Brooksville, Fla., and Lucas Green of Cleveland; three grandchildren: Landon Harris, Ciarra Keith and Zeke Keith, all of Cleveland; one brother, Stephen McLain, DSO-DV of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, of Cleveland; special mother-in-law, Christine Mayfield of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. today, April 29, 2014, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Revs. Scott Carraway and David O’Neal officiating.

Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Earls Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home prior to the service.
