Terry Adams, 2014 Tennessee candidate for U.S Senate, spoke at the recent Bradley County Democratic Party meeting.

“Washington has been hacked, hijacked and held back by special interests. We owe the people a clear and fundamental choice this November,” he said.

“Lamar Alexander is a senator for Wall Street — I will be a senator for Tennessee’s Main Street,” Adams stated.

“I support raising the minimum wage, and Alexander wants to abolish it. He wants to slash veterans’ benefits, and I will stand up for vets,” Adams continued.

Adams joined the Navy reserves while still in high school under the early enlistment program. With assistance from the Montgomery GI Bill, he graduated from the University of Tennessee.

Presently, Adams is a practicing attorney, and he operates a small business with his wife.

“I’m running because I care. I believe in equal pay for women and a living wage for all.”

Adams also stated, “The U.S Senate is not a retirement home. It’s a place to go to work — and I’ll work like a pack mule for the people of Tennessee.”
