Shreve Ministries is starting an online school of ministry to help those in the Cleveland area and around the world gain a greater understanding of the Bible.

Deeper Revelation International School of Ministry will be “love offering-based,” Mike Shreve, pastor of The Sanctuary, said. While the school of ministry will be tuition-free, each participant will be asked to make a donation to the ministry.

“There are so many people that would like full understanding of scripture on a Bible school level on a college level, but they just do not have the funds to afford higher education,” Shreve said.

Last year, the ministry did a trial run with limited equipment for two months.

“Within two weeks we had 200 subscribers to our Internet site and they were from 10 nations and 23 states,” Shreve said.

Starting out the courses will be a live-streamed version of a Tuesday night teaching at The Sanctuary. The first course will begin April 22 at 7 p.m.

“It will be two hours of teaching with a break in between,” Shreve said.

Those within driving distance are welcome to attend the class in person.

More classes will be added as the school grows. Planned topics include foundational doctrine, the tabernacle of Moses and the nine covenants of God.

“Our primary focus will be on an associate level and more of an empowerment for ministry. It will all be Bible-focused,” Shreve said.

Shreve also plans to pursue accreditation for Deeper Revelation International School of Ministry after it is more established.

The first course will be based on a series of books Shreve has written on a Christian’s Glorious Inheritance.

“It’s a course that focuses on over 1,000 names and titles that belong to God’s people. It’s the discovery of our identity in Christ,” Shreve said.

Shreve said the courses would be interactive through an online chat option.

He said the courses will also be archived so that students can go back and watch any lessons they might have missed.

“Now that we have our own television studio and we have all our equipment in place we can go forward without hindrance,” Shreve said.

The school of ministry plans to reach beyond Cleveland to support schools in other countries. Through his past ministry work Shreve has many contacts throughout the world.

In Tanzania, 100 pastors have come together to offer a time for the courses to be shown.

Shreve said the lessons will either be translated by someone in Tanzania as the lesson is being watched or translation will be provided on the video. Shreve said having someone on his Cleveland that spoke Swahili would be helpful.

“The more knowledgeable ministers are of the true revelation of God’s word, the more fruitful they will be in their ministries,” Shreve said.

He said the more a Christian understood the Bible the more effective they would be in “changing their world.”

“We need people know who really know how to express intelligently what Christianity is all about,” Shreve said.

Shreve, a former Kundalini Yoga instructor with New Age beliefs, understands the importance of reaching people where they are.

“Too often you have Christian writers that are very confrontational, very argumentative, very demeaning, in your face, and that is not how to reach our present generation. Our present generation values tolerance to a great degree, so if you appear harsh and intolerant you’ve already been thrown into a wall,” Shreve said. “That doesn’t mean you compromise your beliefs, but that does mean present them with respect and love to other people.”

This is something he has done through his Deeper Revelation books and hopes to equip other to through the Bible school.

Shreve has been a pastor and evangelist for 42 years. He has also taught at two Bible schools.

Registration can be completed at www.shreveministries.org under the school tab.

Students are asked to designate whether they will be attending the class at The Sanctuary or participating via the website.

Outlines for each class will be available for downloading.
